But I did prefer Frontier/Explorer (pre 2020 name for the Frontier) for powder and for more aggressive carves.
Generally speaking, going 156 you will sacrifice a little in terms of stability at speed and float in powder – and for big carves. At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point.
By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the ‘snow plow’ rounded tip and it’s extra swing weight. It was nice in the trees I found, but you have to ride it with an aggressive approach in the trees, rather than a more casual, surfy approach.

It's something you can get quite aggressive on but also slow down and play around on too. But it's maneuverable enough to maneuver through bumpy terrain.
I am currently using a 20 year old 157 which is too heavy and long and hurts my legs when going on the lifts.
