We had drinks, 2 appetizers, entrees (shredded chicken mole rojo and the candied pork ribs) and desserts (flan was amazing). We take great pride in our farm where we get many of our leafy greens and vegies. Highly recommend coming here. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.Los Danzantes Oaxaca is the sister of a Mexico City restaurant of the same name. We asked the server for his recommendations and everything was amazing: Oaxaca tortilla soup, salted shrimp (sort of like a ceviche), leaf with goat cheese, mogo mogo and the candied ribs. Okay, the food? Yes, we did have two lean low on the low-lying lounge furniture to eat our delicious food or reach for our cocktails, but it was no problem.
Everything about the meal was exceptional and showed a rep level of care and pride in their craft by the staff.

Funny enough, we raised the issue to the waiter about the tuna and he immediately agreed with us and offered to take them off the bill.Simply amazing! The best meal we had in Oaxaca.
I ordered the shrimp tlayuda while my friends had the coco shrimp, tuna, and two different types of steak. Danzantes in Oaxaca turned out to be pedestrian, conventional, commercial, unremarkable, and still expensive. The chicharrones appetizer was OK, but very salty, and the octopus appetizer was cooked well but bland.I've been stalking Yelp photos of Los Danzantes for YEARS and so it was a little surreal to actually be there in person. If you are there during week of the dead in late October or early November you will love the decor. I usually don't put much value in décor and atmosphere but it really enhanced the experience.
