During the walk back down I was able to enjoy all of the great views of Washoe and Carson valley's that I had missed when focusing on just going forward during the trip up. From the parking area, it is about ¼-mile hike to the lake.

Uphill climb, downhill climb with a small break in between. This is not a trail to do when you are out of shape or feeling less than energetic. I don’t fish but there were quite a few anglers.
