Really grates. bought the first album, loved it then got this one and love this too, if you love AC/DC then you'll love these rocking Aussies, a really good rocking album I got the Special Edition which has 5 extra tracks. The attitude is still there, but the songs seem to run together by the time you get to the end of the CD. Forget about comparisons, whats been done before, or what might happen in the future. Growing up in the 80's I'd like to think I've spent enough time listening to hair-metal, glam-metal, heavy-metal etc...bands to start my own foundry [metal joke]. There are still several great songs, but a few show some repetition in their songwriting. Airbourne IS a refreshing and energetic departure from what is out there now, they need a bit more polishing and refinement with their lyrics and sound. I'm all for a band experimenting a bit with a few tracks per offering but we like what we like. Having said that, if this album doesn't make you pound your feet on the floor, max out on the air guitar whilst standing on the coffee table, or get your hands punching the air, then you're either not alive, or from another planet!
